Chester Grade School thanks law enforcement for Ballers vs. Badges event

CHESTER, Ill., (KBSI) — Chester Grade School is thanking local law enforcement agencies for their participation in the school’s Ballers vs. Badges Dodgeball Day held Friday.

Officials said members of the Chester Police Department, Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and deputies, Illinois State Police, and conservation officers attended the event and took part in physical education classes with students. School officials said students enjoyed the opportunity to spend time with the officers.

Chester Grade School said events like the dodgeball day help create positive interactions between students and law enforcement and expressed appreciation for the agencies’ continued dedication to the community.
