Rend Lake College unveils renovated Banterra Bank Sports Complex

INA, Ill., (KBSI) — The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce joined Rend Lake College and the Rend Lake College Foundation on Feb. 11 to celebrate the grand opening of the new Banterra Bank Sports Complex.

The renovation project was made possible through a partnership with Deaconess Illinois Crossroads and support from local donors.

The remodeled facility includes updated locker rooms, a new athletic training room and improvements to the gymnasium.

College officials said the upgrades are designed to enhance the experience for student-athletes and the broader community.

The Jefferson County Chamber hosted a dual ribbon-cutting ceremony in partnership with the Benton/West City Area Chamber of Commerce to mark the occasion.

Officials said the project reflects ongoing collaboration and investment in regional growth across Southern Illinois.
