Marion police seize fentanyl, cocaine during search warrant; homeowner arrested

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — The Marion Police Department executed a narcotics-related search warrant Feb. 11 in the 1500 block of Champions Drive, resulting in multiple drug charges and a medical emergency.

During the search, officers located an unconscious and unresponsive woman inside the residence and immediately began providing medical aid until she was transported to a hospital.

Police said the search recovered more than 200 fentanyl capsules, a quantity of cocaine and items commonly associated with drug distribution, including scales, baggies and other paraphernalia.

The homeowner, Levi A. Dixon, 47, of Marion, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of pretrial release. Authorities said Dixon had previous arrests related to fentanyl, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation remains ongoing.
