FOX23 News at 9 p.m.

(KBSI) The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) plans to restart work zone lane restrictions on the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge, which connects Paducah and Metropolis, on Monday, Mar. 2, weather permitting. Lane restrictions for Phase 2 of the $38 million rehabilitation project are expected to continue until Oct. 13, 2026.

Route 25 in Cape Girardeau County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement repairs and overlay the roadway.

This section of roadway is located from Route 77 to Route 91 in Advance, Missouri.

Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, March 2 through Monday, June 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning daytime lane restrictions on Interstate 24 near mile point 9.8 in McCracken County on Tuesday, Feb. 24, for bridge repair work.

This is along I-24 at the twin bridges over Pool Road and the P&L Railway tracks.

Motorists should expect one-lane traffic both eastbound and westbound between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., weather permitting. Be alert for signs directing traffic into the left (or passing) lanes in both directions.
