Charleston R-I Superintendent meets with lawmakers to advocate for Southeast Missouri schools

CHARLESTON, Mo. (KBSI) — Charleston R-I Superintendent Jamarcus Williams recently traveled to Jefferson City to meet with state lawmakers on issues affecting Southeast Missouri schools.

Williams joined Charleston native Alana Mills and representatives from several neighboring school districts to discuss public education funding and workforce development.

District officials said the visit was aimed at ensuring the needs of the region are represented and prioritized at the state level.
