(KBSI) A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure on KY 1420/Noble Road at mile point 3.95 in McCracken County, starting at 8 a.m., Monday, Feb. 23.

The existing bridge over a branch of Massac Creek will be demolished and replaced with a new bridge. This is along KY 1420 between KY 2411 and Meredith Road.

Jim Smith Contracting is the prime contractor for this $655,000 bridge replacement project.

Construction is expected to be completed by about late April, weather permitting.

Route W in Butler County will be closed as Missouri Department of Transportation crews replace a culvert under the roadway.

This section of roadway is located from Route KK to County Road 508.

Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, Feb. 24 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) plans to restart work zone lane restrictions on the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge, which connects Paducah and Metropolis, on Monday, Mar. 2, weather permitting. Lane restrictions for Phase 2 of the $38 million rehabilitation project are expected to continue until Oct. 13, 2026.
