Scott City man arrested on three counts of second-degree statutory rape

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Scott County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 24, 2026, arrested Jacob Wayne Sandvos, 22, of Scott City, following an investigation involving a minor.
The investigation began Feb. 17. Detectives conducted interviews and performed a forensic examination of digital evidence, which authorities said established probable cause for three counts of second-degree statutory rape under Missouri Revised Statute 566.034.
Sandvos is being held in the Scott County Jail pending formal charges.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
