Saint Francis Foundation accepting applications for 2026 Healthcare Scholarships

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Saint Francis Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2026 Healthcare Scholarship Program.
Funded by the Saint Francis Foundation and Auxiliary, the program awards more than 20 scholarships annually of up to $2,000 each to students pursuing healthcare-related careers.
The Steven C. Bjelich Executive Scholarship is available to students pursuing a master’s degree in healthcare administration. The award is presented to one recipient every other year and provides $5,000 per year for two years, totaling $10,000, paid directly to the recipient’s institution.
Applicants must have completed at least one year in an accredited healthcare program, be currently enrolled and maintain a minimum 3.0 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Students must also reside within the Saint Francis Healthcare System service area.
Completed online applications and all required documentation must be submitted to the Foundation by 5 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2026. Students may receive one scholarship per year for a maximum of two years.
Since the program began in 1980, more than $929,000 has been awarded to students pursuing healthcare careers.
