Rescued puppy Ember now available for adoption in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A puppy rescued from a burning vehicle last month by the Cape Girardeau Fire Department is now available for adoption, according to Southeast Missouri Pets.
Ember was pulled from a vehicle fire and later received oxygen at the scene before being placed in foster care. Shelter officials said he has spent the past month undergoing medications and breathing treatments while recovering.
Recently, Ember visited firefighters who helped save him. Officials said the responders were encouraged by his recovery and growth.
Applications to adopt Ember will be accepted through Friday. Shelter staff plan to place him in a new home this weekend.
