Police investigate report of counterfeit bills passed to juvenile in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Police are investigating a report of counterfeit currency being passed in Cape Girardeau.
Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. March 1 to the 1100 block of South Pacific Street after receiving a report that a subject attempted to pass counterfeit bills to a juvenile.
Authorities said the counterfeit currency was seized. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The case is being handled by the Cape Girardeau Police Department.
