Paducah woman arrested on drug trafficking and DUI charges after traffic stop

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — A Paducah woman was arrested Thursday afternoon following a traffic stop in McCracken County, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives conducted a traffic stop Feb. 26 near the intersection of Victor Street and Yarbro Lane after observing a vehicle being driven in a manner consistent with impaired driving. The driver was identified as Betty Jo Oliver, 47, of Paducah.
During a roadside investigation, deputies searched the vehicle and reported finding methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.
Oliver was taken into custody and lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
She is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to notify the Department of Transportation of an address change.
She is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
