Delta R-V schools cancel Friday classes due to widespread illness

DELTA, Mo., (KBSI) — The Delta R-V School District announced there will be no classes Friday, March 6, due to a high number of student and staff illnesses.

District officials said more than 25 students and eight staff members were absent, with additional individuals still recovering from recent illness.

School leaders said the decision to cancel classes was made to allow students and staff time to rest and recover.

Classes are expected to resume Monday, March 9, according to the district.
