Firefighters rescue cat stuck in tree in Boone County

BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) — Firefighters with the Boone County Fire Protection District rescued a cat that became stuck high in a tree Thursday morning.

The department said crews were dispatched at about 10:26 a.m. to Waterfront Drive after receiving a report of a cat trapped in a tree.

Firefighters assessed the situation, safely retrieved the animal and reunited it with its owner.

Officials said the cat was not injured and is doing well following the rescue.
