Murray man arrested after deputies recover stolen vehicle

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) — A Murray man was arrested Thursday morning after deputies discovered he was driving a stolen vehicle during a traffic stop, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies conducted the stop at about 6 a.m. March 5 on South 12th Street in Murray. During the investigation, authorities determined the driver, Aaron R. Wilkinson, 52, of Murray, was operating a vehicle reported stolen.

Officials said the vehicle had been taken during a burglary at an Enterprise Rental Car location in Mayfield, where it was reported missing.

Wilkinson was taken into custody and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.

He faces charges of receiving stolen property valued at $10,000 or more, a Class C felony, operating on a suspended license, and receiving stolen property.

The investigation is continuing with assistance from the Mayfield Police Department.
