Old Town Cape to host annual dinner honoring downtown leaders and volunteers

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Old Town Cape, Inc. will host its annual dinner March 26 to recognize contributions that support the downtown Cape Girardeau community.
The event, titled “Rolling Out the Red Carpet for Cape Girardeau’s Finest,” will take place at the Buckner-Ragsdale Event Center.
Organizers say the dinner will highlight accomplishments in downtown Cape Girardeau during 2025 and recognize investors, businesses, property owners and volunteers who support revitalization efforts.
Nine awards will be presented, including Volunteer of the Year, Excellence in Revitalization through Placemaking, Outstanding Mission Support, Special Recognition, Business Excellence, Adaptive Reuse, Preservation of Heritage and the Charles L. Hutson Visionary Award.
“Please join Old Town Cape for a night to celebrate the people who have done wonderful things to make our downtown a place we all love to spend time in,” said Bonnie Kipper, co-chair of the event.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner at 6 p.m. and the awards program at 7 p.m. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets are $75 each, and tables of eight are available for $600. Reservations can be made by calling Old Town Cape at 573-334-8085 or by completing an online registration.
