PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — The Paducah Chiefs Baseball Club is seeking host families for players ahead of the team’s 2026 summer season.

The collegiate wood-bat team, which plays its home games at Brooks Stadium, relies on local families to provide housing for players during the roughly two-month season.

“Host families play such an important role in the experience of our players who come to Paducah for the summer,” said Greg McKeel, the team’s general manager. “They provide a sense of stability and support while these young athletes are away from home.”

McKeel said many host family relationships continue well beyond the season and often become lasting friendships.

Residents interested in serving as host families can contact McKeel at 270-210-9766 or reach out to assistant general managers Tab Brockman at 270-293-3030 or Greg Cannon at 270-331-2813.

The Chiefs’ first home game of the 2026 season is scheduled for May 29 at Brooks Stadium.

Season tickets are available for $200, which includes all regular-season home games and home playoff games. General admission tickets will be available at the gate for $6 per game, or $10 for chairback seating.

The Chiefs, whose history dates back to 1903, were revived in 2016 as part of the Ohio Valley League. The team is overseen by the Brooks Stadium Commission.
