Agencies work together to recover vehicle from Cedar Lake, fire officials say

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — The Carbondale Fire Department is recognizing multiple agencies for their cooperation during a vehicle recovery operation at Cedar Lake.

Fire officials said crews worked alongside the Carbondale Police Department, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, the Lake of Egypt Fire Protection District and Cedar Lake management staff to safely recover a vehicle from the lake.

Officials said the operation highlighted strong coordination among local agencies and praised responders for their professionalism during the recovery effort.
