Lost dog reunited with owner after Paducah police assist

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — A lost dog was safely reunited with its owner after being found wandering near a Paducah Police Department building Monday morning.

Detective Barrow spotted the dog, later identified as Sadie, and contacted officers for assistance. Officer Breakfield cared for the dog while authorities worked to locate its owner.

Police said officers later heard someone calling for the dog nearby. Officers Holland and Vowell made contact with the owner, who confirmed Sadie was his missing pet.

Sadie was returned home without incident, police said.
