Paducah woman arrested on drug, traffic charges following stop

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A McCracken County woman was arrested March 19 after a traffic stop in Paducah led to the discovery of multiple controlled substances, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Colyar conducted the stop around 9:30 p.m. on Joe Clifton Drive involving a black Kia Optima. The driver was identified as Tabitha Cunningham, 39, of McCracken County.

Authorities said further investigation revealed Cunningham was in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine, as well as quantities of Ecstasy and Xanax.

Cunningham was arrested and charged with:

First-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), first offense
First-degree possession of a controlled substance (unspecified, Ecstasy), first offense
Prescription controlled substance not in a proper container, second offense
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Driving on a suspended or revoked license
Failure to signal or improper signal

She was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
