CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative (JPEC) is planning a temporary power outage at the intersection of KY 725/Woodville Road and KY 1154/Hobbs Road in West Paducah, on Thursday, Mar. 26, to replace a power pole.
The outage will begin at about 7 a.m. and end by 5 p.m.
During this time, the beacon at the intersection will be out. Motorists should obey posted stop signs and use caution when entering the main road.
As a reminder, a contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) has now closed KY 1099/7th Street at its intersection with KY 125/Union City Highway, or at mile point 2.269, in the city of Hickman (Fulton County).
Motorists will also encounter one-lane traffic via an alternating traffic light on KY 125/Union City Highway at this intersection, or near mile point 5.4.
Construction has begun on a new box culvert. Work is expected to last until about mid-July for this first phase, weather permitting.
Route 162 in New Madrid County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform edge rut repairs.
This section of roadway is located from Route 153 to County Road 263 near Gideon, Missouri.
Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, March 24 through Thursday, March 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
