LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — Sixty-eight students at South Elementary School graduated from the D.A.R.E. program Monday, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Bobby Davidson and deputies attended the graduation ceremony, recognizing students who completed the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.

D.A.R.E. is a nationally recognized initiative that teaches students how to make safe and responsible decisions, resist peer pressure and avoid drugs, alcohol and violence.

Officials said the program also helps build confidence, critical thinking skills and positive relationships between students and law enforcement.
