GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Graves County Sheriff’s Office said it has received multiple inquiries from residents about rolls of wire left near utility poles across the county.

Officials said the wire has been sitting in some areas for more than a month, prompting concerns from property owners, especially as mowing season begins.

Residents have questioned whether the wire is new, old or discarded and what should be done with it.

The sheriff’s office said it contacted a utility company, which directed inquiries to ZITO Media. Deputies said they have attempted to reach the company but have not received a response.

Officials said they will continue working to get answers and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
