Benton woman charged with DUI after head-on crash in Livingston County

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — A Benton woman was arrested following a head-on crash Wednesday evening on U.S. 60 West, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
First responders were dispatched around 6 p.m. March 25 to the intersection of U.S. 60 and Lockhart Road.
Investigators said a 2020 Toyota Camry driven by Melissa Gore, 46, of Benton, crossed the center line and collided with a westbound 2015 Freightliner tanker truck driven by Hunter Orenduff, 35, of Paducah.
Authorities said Gore was intoxicated at the time of the crash. She was arrested and charged with reckless driving, driving under the influence, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree criminal mischief.
Gore was lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
