Scott City warns of unlicensed door-to-door solicitation

SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — City officials are warning residents about an unlicensed door-to-door solicitor operating within city limits.

The City of Scott City and Scott City Police said an individual has been going door to door representing a business called “Safe Home Security,” which has not obtained the required permits to operate in the city.

Officials said attempts to contact the solicitor have been unsuccessful, and efforts to resolve the situation are ongoing.

Residents are advised not to engage in transactions and to contact Scott City Police at 573-264-2121 if approached.
