DEXTER, Mo., (KBSI) — A Dexter man has been arrested on multiple child pornography charges following an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.

Ean T. Wilson, 35, is charged with promoting child pornography, possession of child pornography and failure to register as a sex offender.

Authorities said the investigation began in February after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported a file of suspected child pornography uploaded to a Google account. Investigators later identified Wilson as the suspect.

On March 25, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Stoddard County. Officials said evidence of child pornography was found on electronic devices, and investigators determined Wilson’s sex offender registration was not current.

Wilson was arrested and taken to the Stoddard County Jail. He was formally charged March 26 and is being held without bond.

The Missouri Digital Forensic Center and Dexter Police Department assisted with the investigation.

Officials remind the public that the charges are accusations, and Wilson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
