SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — Community members are invited to attend a free Early Detection Health Fair on Wednesday, April 8, at the YMCA of Sikeston.

The event will run from noon to 4 p.m. at 511 Taylor St. and will offer a variety of free health screenings aimed at promoting early detection and overall wellness.

Services will include mobile mammograms, cognitive screenings, hearing tests, blood pressure checks, diabetes and cholesterol screenings, along with other wellness resources.

Organizers said mammogram appointments can be scheduled between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. by contacting Gateway to Hope, which will also provide support services during the event.

A food distribution hosted by the Southeast Missouri Food Bank will also be available, with one box of food per family while supplies last.

The event is a collaboration among several community partners, including Saint Francis Healthcare, Missouri Delta, the YMCA and other local organizations.
