Multiple agencies respond to residential fire in Advance

ADVANCE, Mo., (KBSI) — Several fire departments responded to a residential structure fire early Monday morning in Advance, according to Bell City Fire Rescue.

Bell City crews were dispatched around 1:49 a.m. to assist Advance Fire Department, where firefighters reported a fully involved basement fire.

Officials said crews from both departments conducted an aggressive interior attack and were able to quickly bring the fire under control.

After the fire was contained, crews performed overhaul operations to extinguish remaining hot spots.

Additional assistance was provided by the Bloomfield Department of Public Safety, Zalma Fire Rescue and the Stoddard County Ambulance District, which supported firefighter rehabilitation at the scene.

All units later cleared the scene and returned to service.

Officials said the response highlights coordination and mutual aid among departments in the region.
