‘Denim & Diamonds’ event to support local veterans April 10

CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — A community fundraiser supporting local veterans is set for April 10 at Kokopelli Golf Club.

The “Denim & Diamonds — Red, White & Blue” event will begin with doors opening at 6 p.m., followed by live music from the A1C Band at 7 p.m.

Organizers say the event will include table decorating contests, snacks and activities focused on honoring veterans.

Attendees can also participate in a program to recognize a loved one with a yard sign that will be displayed throughout the community around the Fourth of July.

Each sign costs $75, with proceeds benefiting veterans in Southern Illinois. Organizers say signs can be ordered even if someone does not attend the event, and participants will be able to take their signs home after the display period.

Tickets are limited, with tables of eight available for $100. Reservations can be made by emailing h2hevents1@gmail.com.
