Whitewater Fire Protection District honors former chief on anniversary of death

WHITEWATER, Mo., (KBSI) — The Whitewater Fire Protection District is honoring former Chief Garry Moore on the anniversary of his death in the line of duty.

In a statement, the department said Moore is remembered for his dedication to the community and his years of service in the fire service.

Officials described Moore as having a “servant’s heart” and said his commitment helped improve the safety and quality of life for others.

The department said it continues to honor his legacy by striving to uphold the standards he set.
