Man in custody after multiple business break-ins on Enterprise Street

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — A man is in custody after multiple businesses were broken into Friday evening on Enterprise Street, according to police.
Officers were called to the 800 block of Enterprise Street around 7:20 p.m. for a reported burglary. While investigating, more nearby businesses began reporting similar break-ins.
Police say they quickly located a suspect in the area and took him into custody after a short foot pursuit. He has been identified as 22-year-old Dustin Sutliff of Jonesboro, Illinois.
Investigators believe Sutliff is connected to several burglaries in the area, which caused about $3,100 in damage.
During the arrest, officers also say they found suspected methamphetamine.
Sutliff is facing multiple charges, including burglary, property damage, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance. He is currently being held without bond.
Authorities say the charges are accusations, and the case will proceed through the court system.
