FRESH café in Cape Girardeau launches kid-created smoothie contest

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — FRESH Healthy Cafe is inviting young creators to step into the kitchen with a new contest aimed at blending fun and healthy choices.
The Cafe is hosting its first Kid-Crafted Smoothie Contest, encouraging children ages 12 and under to submit their own smoothie recipes now through April 15.
Participants can stop by the café on North Kingshighway to fill out an entry card with their idea. The restaurant team will then taste-test submissions and select a winner, who will receive a $50 gift card and have their smoothie featured on the menu through the end of May.
The contest is designed to get kids excited about creating nutritious food options while adding a new flavor to the café’s menu.
The winner is expected to be announced April 20.
