CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The LemonDrop Long Drive event returns this weekend, bringing a day of golf, entertainment and community fundraising to southeast Missouri.

The event, hosted by the LemonDrop Foundation, is open to participants of all ages and skill levels and aims to support individuals and families affected by cancer.

Organizers said the event will feature long drive competitions, prizes and open divisions for golfers, along with food, refreshments and a live DJ.

“It’s amazing to celebrate year six of the LemonDrop Long Drive with our community,” said Nate Gautier, founder and director of the LemonDrop Foundation.

The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the TeeHouse Complex, 2901 Hawthorne Road. Admission is free and open to the public.

Proceeds from the event will go toward providing direct support to cancer patients and their families in southeast Missouri, organizers said.
