4-year-old girl dies after being struck by vehicle in Bollinger County

MARBLE HILL, Mo. (KBSI) — A 4-year-old girl is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Bollinger County over the weekend, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Authorities say the incident happened just before 1:30 p.m. Saturday along County Road 800, about two miles north of Marble Hill on private property.

According to state police, a 17-year-old boy was driving when the vehicle began moving from a parked position and hit the child.

The girl was taken to a nearby fire station, where she was pronounced dead minutes later by the Bollinger County coroner.

Officials say the crash marks the 12th traffic-related death in southeast Missouri so far in 2026.

The investigation remains ongoing.
