SEMO names Corey Bradford as vice president for finance and administration

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Southeast Missouri State University has named Dr. Corey Bradford Sr. as its new vice president for finance and administration.

Bradford was selected following a national search and is set to begin the role June 15.

The position serves as the university’s chief financial officer and reports to President Brad Hodson. The vice president also serves as treasurer of the Board of Governors and the Southeast Missouri University Foundation and oversees several departments, including the budget office, controller’s office, information technology, human resources, university police and facilities management.

Hodson said Bradford brings experience in higher education finance and has worked to strengthen financial operations and partnerships at previous institutions.

Bradford holds a doctorate in higher education administration from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, along with a master’s degree in applied mathematics and statistics and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He has held finance and administration roles at SIU Carbondale, Prairie View A&M University and Governors State University.

Bradford said he looks forward to working with the university community to support growth and innovation.
