VA Poplar Bluff to continue free monthly food pantry for veterans in 2026

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., (KBSI) — The VA Poplar Bluff Health Care System will continue offering free monthly food pantry events for veterans throughout 2026.
The distributions are part of the Veterans Healthy Food Surplus program, which aims to provide access to nutritious food and support overall wellness.
Food will be available for up to 100 veterans at each event. Participants must present a valid VA identification card, and a representative may pick up food on behalf of a veteran with proper identification.
The pantry will be held on the fourth Wednesday of each month at the Missouri Army National Guard Armory, located at 1605 Cravens Road in Poplar Bluff. Distribution will begin at 9 a.m., a later start time than in previous months.
Veterans and their caregivers are invited to attend.
