Murray man killed in crash on U.S. 641 in Marshall County

HARDIN, Ky., (KBSI) — Kentucky State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a Murray man Friday morning in Marshall County.

According to KSP Post 1, the crash occurred around 6:50 a.m. on April 17 in the 7500 block of U.S. 641 South. Troopers said a tractor-trailer driven by David A. Uribazo Izquierdo, 47, of Miami, was traveling north and slowing to turn into a business when it was struck from behind by a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.

The Malibu’s driver, Cedric Cherry, 32, of Murray, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, EMS, rescue squad, local fire departments, the coroner’s office, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Benton police.
