Illinois man arrested, faces rape and kidnapping charges in Eddyville campground case

EDDYVILLE, Ky., (KBSI) — Kentucky State Police have arrested an Illinois man in connection with alleged physical and sexual assaults at a campground in Eddyville earlier this month.
According to KSP Post 1, the investigation began April 3 after a victim reported to an Indiana hospital that she had been held against her will and abused at a camper in the Eddy Vegas Campground.
Authorities identified the suspect as Timothy E. Doe, 28, of Chicago. A warrant was issued for first-degree strangulation, and he was arrested April 10 in Eddyville and lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
Further investigation led to additional charges filed April 15, including first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy and kidnapping of an adult. Police said the charges are classified as domestic violence-related offenses.
