Margaret Newton Elementary to unveil new STEM center in Tiptonville

TIPTONVILLE, Tenn., (KBSI) — Margaret Newton Elementary School unveiled a new Cal Ripken Sr. STEM Center during a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday.
The Tennessee Valley Authority partnered with the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation to establish the center, which will provide hands-on tools and resources aimed at expanding STEM education opportunities for students.
Officials said the initiative focuses on supporting public schools and youth programs, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
Representatives from the school, TVA and Gibson Electric Membership Corporation are expected to attend.
Students will demonstrate the new equipment, and officials will discuss the impact of the program.
