CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) — The St. Vincent High School band and the school’s eighth-grade band earned excellent ratings during the Six Flags Music Festival held April 24.

School officials said both groups received top marks from all three judges. One of the judges, Dale Skornia, previously served as St. Vincent’s band director from 1983 to 1990.

Officials said students plan to use feedback from judges to continue improving their performances.

The bands are scheduled to perform next at the St. Vincent Spring Concert on May 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the St. Vincent High School gym.
