GRAVES COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Graves County Sheriff’s Office is installing Axon dash cameras in all marked patrol vehicles, officials said.

Sheriff Jon Hayden said the project is being funded with assistance from the Graves County Fiscal Court.

“This is a good investment for the citizens of Graves County,” Hayden said in a statement.

The dash cameras will work in conjunction with body-worn cameras already used by deputies.

Officials said the system includes features such as automatic activation when emergency lights are used, real-time video access for supervisors and secure video storage.

Authorities said the cameras are expected to enhance evidence collection, improve transparency and support training efforts.

Installation is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
