Tennessee driver arrested in Calloway County after high-speed pursuit crosses state line

A Tennessee man was arrested late Saturday after a pursuit that crossed into western Kentucky, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Calloway County Central Dispatch was notified around 11:55 p.m. May 2, 2026, that the Henry County Sheriff’s Office had attempted to stop a vehicle that fled into Calloway County.
Authorities said the vehicle was driving recklessly at a high rate of speed. Deputies attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle continued before eventually pulling over at a gas station along Highway 121 South.
The driver, identified as Conner Z. Samuels, 23, of Paris, Tennessee, was arrested and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility. A passenger was released.
Samuels is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, reckless driving and traffic violations.
