Three arrested in Randolph County burglary investigation; stolen property recovered

CHESTER, Ill., (KBSI) – Three people have been arrested in connection with a burglary investigation in Randolph County, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the investigation began after deputies were notified of a burglary April 21, 2026, at a residence in rural Walsh, Illinois. A second burglary at the same location was reported April 23.
Investigators used covert surveillance to identify suspects and later executed a search warrant April 29 in Percy with assistance from the Steeleville Police Department.
Officials said stolen property was recovered during the search and at additional locations tied to the case.
Arrested were Keyven Gasaway, 46, of Percy; Lisa Boitano, 39, of Chester; and Justin Rettig, 33, of Sparta.
Gasaway is charged with burglary and possession of a firearm by a felon. Boitano and Rettig are each charged with burglary.
Boitano and Rettig have been released under pretrial conditions, while Gasaway remains in custody following a detention hearing May 4.
The investigation is ongoing.
