Bear spotted on trail cameras in Land Between the Lakes

LAND BETWEEN THE LAKES, Ky., (KBSI) — The Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area has confirmed recent sightings of a black bear in the Tharpe area.

Officials said the animal was captured on trial cameras last week and appears to be a frequent presence in the area.

Forest Service staff are reminding visitors to remain aware of wildlife while using the area’s trails and to follow safety guidelines when encountering animals.
