Fulton County man honored for life-saving actions

FULTON COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office recognized a local man for his actions during a medical emergency.

Sheriff Chad Parker presented Ian Goodman with a Certificate of Commendation and a Life Saving Award on May 7.

Officials said Goodman came across a person lying on the ground and stopped to help, using his belt as a tourniquet and contacting emergency services.

Authorities said his quick response helped prevent a more serious outcome and praised his actions as an example of community service and compassion.
