River Radio names Jack Swart general manager of Cape Girardeau market

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — River Radio has named Jack Swart as general manager of its Cape Girardeau market.

Swart has more than 40 years of experience in broadcasting and has served as general sales manager for River Radio since joining the company in December 2017.

According to the company, Swart helped lead revenue growth and strengthen client relationships across the station group during his time in sales leadership.

Before joining River Radio, Swart held leadership positions with Community Broadcasters, Midwest Communications and Connoisseur Media. He also previously worked in management roles in Indiana radio markets.

Swart studied at St. Ambrose University and holds several certifications from the Radio Advertising Bureau. During his career, he was also recognized as General Manager of the Year while working with Connoisseur Media.

River Radio said Swart has also been active in community efforts, including support for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and local first responder events.

“It is an exciting time in the broadcast industry, and the team at River Radio is poised to progress with those changes,” Swart said in a statement. “We set a high standard under Mike Renick, and it is my goal to keep that momentum and spirit going.”
