CARBONDALE, Ill., (KBSI) — Saluki Smash will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community event Thursday in downtown Carbondale.
The event, hosted in partnership with the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce, is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Saluki Smash, located at 204 W. Freeman St.
Organizers said the celebration will include an official ribbon cutting, introductory mini smash sessions and refreshments for attendees.
Saluki Smash opened in 2025 and offers a “rage room” experience where participants can safely break items in a controlled environment for recreation and stress relief.
Saluki Smash owner Bryan Woodruff said the business is grateful for the community support it has received during its first year in operation.
Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Director William Lo said businesses like Saluki Smash help bring energy and activity to the downtown area.
The event is open to the public.
