Cape Riverfront Market offering grants for young business leaders

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Cape Riverfront Market has extended the application deadline for its Future Makers Market youth entrepreneurship event to May 22.

The event is open to young entrepreneurs ages 13 to 18 who have businesses, products, creative talents or business ideas they want to showcase.

Organizers said the event will award a $1,000 grand prize along with two Future Makers grants worth $500 each.

The market is designed to give young entrepreneurs an opportunity to gain business experience, connect with the community and showcase their work in a market setting.

Applications remain open through May 22.
