Gov. Beshear says viral letters impersonating governors are scams

FRANKFORT, Ky., (KBSI) — Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear is warning the public about fake letters circulating on social media that falsely claim to be from him and other governors across the country.
Beshear said the letters reference “joy riding” and “tattoos” and are scams.
There is a series of letters circulating on social media impersonating me and other governors from across the country regarding “joy riding” and “tattoos.” They are fake. If you see one, please report it to Facebook so we can stop these scams.

The governor urged people who see the posts to report them to Facebook to help stop the spread of the fraudulent messages.
