Eldorado man faces multiple felony charges after resisting arrest in Carrier Mills

CARRIER MILLS, Ill. (KBSI) — A southern Illinois man faces multiple felony charges after police said he resisted arrest during a domestic dispute investigation.
According to the Carrier Mills Police Department, Sgt. W. Johnston responded May 13 to the East Walnut Street area for a reported domestic dispute.
During the investigation, Johnston identified one of the individuals involved as Tyler C. Sanders, 33, of Eldorado. Police said Sanders was wanted on charges of escape from a penal institution, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and residential burglary.
Authorities said Johnston attempted to take Sanders into custody, but Sanders physically resisted and kicked the officer during the struggle.
Sanders now faces additional charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest.
He was taken to the Saline County Jail and is being held without bond.
