Man arrested after troopers seize 106 marijuana plants, firearms in Kentucky investigation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (KBSI) — Kentucky State Police arrested a Bowling Green man following an investigation that led to the seizure of more than 100 marijuana plants, drugs and firearms.
State police said Scotty Deel, 51, was arrested after troopers received information that led to an investigation and search warrant for his residence in Warren County.
Authorities said the search uncovered 106 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale and multiple firearms.
Police said Deel was later arrested in Barren County, where investigators allegedly found methamphetamine and a handgun in his possession.
Deel was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail and faces charges in both Warren and Barren counties.
In Warren County, Deel was charged with cultivating marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
In Barren County, he was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
Kentucky State Police said the investigation remains ongoing and is being led by Trooper Slate Dalton.
